Did you move the crib down to the lower level? Now that Tooters is mobile, I am nervous, but I also don't want to break my back picking him up and putting him in there until I need to... So at what age did you lower the crib to the lower level?

You need to lower it once he is ready to stand up in the crib. I already have Wyatt's lowered and I just keep the rail down since he isn't standing yet.

Yes as soon as they can stand up!!

Then dh thought it wasnt necessary to put the side up and ds fell out at 8 or 9 months and chipped 2 teeth. I could have killed him :madwife

Lance went to the lowest level when he was around 5 months, only cause he would stand in his crib and it made me nervous!! Now at 10 months, we are thinking about putting the mattress on the floor cause it won't go any lower and he is starting to use his blanket to stand on!!

Hmm, guess I will bite the bullet and put it down then... he can't stand on his own, but he does with help, so I would rather be safe than sorry.

My kids were in my bed and a pack-n-play. So...I :dunno . Sorry. I would say when they can stand.

Ours had 3 levels. So if, I remember correctly, I went from the first level to the 2nd as soon as he could sit up and pull himself up on stuff. And I moved him down to the 3rd level after a year old I believe.

If he's able to pull himself up at all on the rails in the crib then you need to drop it :)

At about 7 months, I think. DD develops skills quickly once she learns how to do them. One day DD pulled herself to standing for the first time, like 2 days later she pulled herself to standing in her crib. That was the day DH lowered her mattress to the lowest level. We thought we'd have a little bit of time before she learned to stand in her crib, but nope, it was that quick....

Hmm, I know ours has levels, but I am not sure if its for the rail or for the matress level.. I will have Ryan take a look. Thanks!

I've always kept it on the lowest level.
