Thank god for Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, that's all I have to say. We've been stressing on how we were going to handle the cost of my trip to Hawaii tomorrow for this surgery, it would've been FINE had my hubby's travel claim not get sent to a closed account and now the money is in MIA status.
Dh went to NMCRS today and explained the situation and they said that when you are on Medavac orders they will give you a loan to cover all expected costs. :yahoo So tomorrow instead of leaving the house at noon, we have to leave at 9:30am...to pick up my orders at 10am from the ship, 10:30am get the check from NMCRS, deposit check into Navy Fed by 11:30am, lunch at noon, check in at PSD bus depot at 1:30, pick up medical records & drop off copy of orders to Medavac office, back at PSD by 2:15, and leave at 2:30pm. :pinkie
I'm so glad we always donate to NMCRS during their drives and throughout the year...it pays off in the end! :cloud9
