Not that we're getting housing in the next 2 years 'cause Norfolk's THAT backed up, but..

I collect swords, and DF heard through the grapevine that I may not be able to have them in housing. Anyone know anything about that?

It is a weapon you can have them but you have to register them
Just like guns they have to be registered BEFORE they can be brought on the base.

Wow, I never heard of that. That's good info to know about, because DH has a sword and I have some kind of tribal looking knife. (My knife is pretty big and I would use it for self-defense. LOL!)

My BIL Has swords and he lives on base. I have heard that you couldn't have guns on base. I guess you would have to register them with housing.
