Ok this baby is my 3rd. But my hubbys first. Well he will first of all be deployed when the baby is born. 2nd he and I got in this discussion about baby carriers like the Bjorn...he says he will never use one because they look like your "wearing" your baby he says he will always carry it and not use one. I used mine before religiously and also did daycare at my house and used it with babies then so I could run daycare and babies would be close too. What do you guys think. knock some sense into him!

We used baby slings (a crappy Snugli with DS) & DH never had a problem using them. :shrug I've got pictures of him using the slings because I thought he was just so stinkin' cute! :)
not sure the right answer... i used one... do what you feel right.... if he wants to carry the baby without one, good for him... if you want to use one, good for you.

knock some sense into him, especially if you have used them and know you like them. I want one for things like groceries and plane rides.

I think he'll change his mind when he realizes that carrying a baby is actually quite a bit of work. There are a lot of "manly" looking carriers on the market right now and I'm sure you'll find one that he approves of. Good luck :)

We used it for both kids. Your arms get TIRED sometimes from holding that baby and the sling/carriers can be a life saver!

I would tell him to listen to the voice of experience. Carry a baby too much and you will get carpal tunnel....

Let him try it his way and if he feels like it's too much he'll see it your way pretty quickly.

I agree with everyone here... if you want to use it use it and if he doesnt then he wont. I'm sure he will change his mind after while though. ;)

I vote you both do it your own way. Neither one of you is wrong. I have had one with all 3 of my children and I rarely used it with any of them. It just depends on the needs of each person at the time. Good luck.

I could not live without my Bjorn...or any baby carrier...lol. I carried them both in that thing...they are AMAZING and things would have been so much more difficult without it. I swear by them!
The first time he NEEDS his hands for something else and they are occupied holding the baby... he will see the light :giggle

he will change his mind......espically once he sees how quickly a baby in a sling calms down and falls asleep. :)
