Does anyone know where an active duty member would seek medical care if they were attached to 32nd? We've never been on shore duty so I have no idea what the procedure is for them. Anyone know? Can they go anywhere or do they have to sign up or what. HELP! Thanks!!

We just called Tricare.. it depends on what it is for. Ryan had a cold, so there is a sick call down on 32nd he is supposed to go to. As far as things like dermatology and such, he goes to Balboa. I called the appt line and they guided me from there. :D

Thanks!!

They mentioned something about sick call but I wasn't sure if it was at the hospital or the actual 32nd base. So sick call is at the 32nd base? Specialized care is at the main hospital and urgent care would be at the main hospital as well...does that sound accurate? I have called Tricare, the hospital, the appointment line...and am still a little confused...lol.

Yes, it is on 32nd St. Does he need something immediate? Like to be seen today? I can call Ryan and ask him whereabouts it is at, but I know that it is on 32nd St. Not sure if it's dry or wet side though.

And yes, sick call on 32nd, specialized at Balboa, and Urgent Care at Balboa as well. :D

Yeah, I wish I would of have done that, as we had to find out the hard way! I am still confused as to where his PCM is though? I know specialized it at Balboa, but I am assuming his PCM is too! :dunno What is your husband doing on shore duty?

There is an active duty clinic at 32nd St and I believe that there is one at Balboa. The one at 32nd St is on the dry side next to the dental clinic and the gym. At 32nd St they have a pharmacy, radiology, PT, active duty only OB/GYN, and actue care clinic. If they need a specialist they would be referred from there.
