I am getting so excited here. :yes I have been feeling like poop these last few days so we will see how things go. I am feeling crampy and I do have the shooting pains thru the cervix( one was so friggen bad that I thought jacob had a damn knife in there:shock ). Also he has dropped a bit since my grandma and step mom have been here. SOOOOO They are hoping it will happen soon. They take me walking everyday and tell me I have to do squats too(which my poor thighs hurt :lmao )


Anywho just wanted to update you all on how im feeling. My next OB appt is Monday and she is going to strip my membranes again.


P.S. forgot to tell you all that my step mom and I remembered that my doc said that I was a loose 2 because with her fingers if she can get 2 in there then I would of been 3cm dialated but she could only get 1 and a half in there. SOOO that is good knews there, I dont have to go farther than I expected to dialate( yes I know it can take forever!!!! to dialate but this is good):yes :P :happy :wink

I was dialated to 3 when I had my membranes stripped, and then right after my appointment, my water broke and when I went to labor. When I got to the hospital, I was dialated to 6!!! So with me it helped a ton, hopefully for you if you don't have the little bugger by your next OB appt, you will have at least dialeted more!! But everyone is different! GOOD LUCK!!

good luck hun! i hope he comes for you soon my advice is to go to a park and start swinging!! it help w/ both of my pregnancies. my ob said its the downward pull of gravity also put a warm heating pad on you back mand that always got my contractions going. good luck again hope you have a easy labor

Unfrotuantly they refused to do that with me cuz I was group B strep positive :(

Your cervix is stripped by inserting a gloved finger between the membranes and the inner wall of the cervix. The finger is then swept in a circular motion around the inner cervix to separate the membranes from the cervical wall.

:shock Does that hurt? Sounds like it!

No not really. The main part that hurts is when she checks my cervix and since she is already in there then she just stripes the membranes. I personally think the cervix check is worse.

Awww....good luck!! I know you have to be really excited now. I went in at 37 weeks and they stripped my membranes and my water broke that very night!! Good luck :)
