My DF is in the Navy and is in Kuwait. The base he is on has free phones for calling home. But thats rare. He also has his cell phone that he got a SIM card for using a Kuwaiti network. I don't buy calling cards for DH because he has his cell when he's over there.. I do know that the AT&T ones work great, and they do have some international ones... Edit: There's a call center on base in Bahrain where she can call you through DSN numbers... she'll have to find out a DSN number to call in your area, and then they'll patch her through to your home. DH did that A LOT during the last deployment. He called the DSN to NAS Corpus Christi, and they patched the call through to our house. Hope that helps! We'd usually talk for about an hour each time, and that's a lot considering he's not a talkative guy!!
