Maria406 08-09-2006, 10:54 AM Hi ladies! I haven't been around too much lately, only a few minutes here and there, and I was wondering how everyone is doing in their deployments?! Whose SO have come home?! How was the homecoming?! Everyone who's still away, how are you doing?? Anything exciting happen lately? Anyone get any cool gifts? Just wondering how everyone is doing!! Hope everyone is well!!
Traci 08-09-2006, 03:05 PM After 7 months in the Middle East he is home for a 3 week visit. He leaves tomororrow to go back for 4 more months. So right now I am an absolute wreck. I should be ok again by the weekend. I hope the last few months go by fast.
NavyChiefs_Wife 08-09-2006, 03:07 PM Matthew comes home next week for two weeks. We have been waiting on those two weeks since he first deployed.
Rachael 08-09-2006, 03:22 PM So far, so good. I am missing him incredibly, but we've been blessed to be getting emails almost every day so far. I know its about to end :( but for now its helping SOOOO much just to know he is okay. 1 down, 23 wks to go :)
Crystal 08-09-2006, 03:25 PM We just got past the 2 month and about 4ish more to go. I haven't received any presents from ports. I am not sure where the ship is headed anymore. I also am waiting to here how my husband is doing with his health problem( my prayers for my husband post). I guess no news is good news but since he is in sick ward being observed it's not a good thing. I have been doing a lot of shopping and getting stuff for next summer(hammock, large gazebo and water fountain).
achicnsocal 08-09-2006, 03:32 PM Nick just now left ...but at this point he's only going to be gone for a little over 4 months ( thank goodness ) So far it's been really hard and I've missed him so much but I'm sure it'll get better .... :D
VinnysGirl 08-09-2006, 04:03 PM We've completed almost 4 months and we're down to just about a month left!!! I thought I would never start seeing september, but just going to the commissary and seeing expiration dates has me excited!!!

Shannon* 08-09-2006, 06:40 PM It's been 7 months since I've seen him, but he'll be home by the end of the monht! :yahoo We're counting DAYS now! Yeah! And he won't be deploying again for like four more years at least! :yeehaw
Maria406 08-10-2006, 10:18 AM We're doing alright. We had a couple ups and downs lately, and we never are like that, so it's kinda tough. We're both going through a lot. I'm just really hoping the second half of the deployment goes fast. I want him home! I want it to be done with!! But I'm glad that a lot of your deployements are almost over!!! Everyone sounds pretty good! And anyone that's having a rough time, hang in there, it's tough, but we'll all get through it together!! Thanks for sharing ladies!!!
ILVMYMR 08-11-2006, 08:23 AM Mine has had 5 underways in the last 20 months(our time here), and it totals 11 months out of that. Not all big ones at a time, but it sure is taking a toll on me. For some reason this smaller one is really not easy right now. I know it could be worse, and I am happy for you ladies who are counting the days!!! How exciting!! To all you other ladies keep trucking along...you will be counting days soon :lovestruck
MelissaMc424 08-11-2006, 08:31 AM DH left on a "mini cruise" yesterday... it was a rough day and night, but I'm forcing myself to get back in the swing of things today. I'm trying hard to shake of that dazed feeling, and get back to normal.. We've been through several deployments, but I'm taking his leaving so much harder this time. :tears :sadeyes The worst part of it is that he'll come home from this one, be home about a month, and leave for at least 2 more months... Talk about feeling like being on a yo-yo.:hairout .. I can't wait for shore duty!:yahoo
I'm glad everyone else is settled into their routines, and that most of y'all are on the downward slide towards homecoming!:pinkie
Angie 08-11-2006, 01:04 PM It is going ok here. He has been gone for about 3 months and we just found out another month has been added on. The e-mail isn't woking on the Sub so we can send 1 Family Gram with 100 words per week but we can't here anything from them.
navycorpsmanwife 08-11-2006, 05:47 PM DH comes home next weekend. He booked us a cruise in October. :lovestruck :yahoo I'm so excited. Then its baby making time!! WOO hump HOOO
Crystal520 08-11-2006, 07:16 PM Jason is on his way home after being away for 3 and a half months over in Europe. I can't wait.
Maria406 08-11-2006, 07:18 PM That's so awesome ladies!! I'm so glad your men are coming home!!!!! HAVE FUN!!!!
Wow you ladies seem to be all on the short deployment schedule - I'm so jealous! I'm 10 mths into a 15 mth deployment and it feels like its never ever going to finish.
Its been pretty rough on him too - they're in the thick of things in Afghanistan - seeing lots of combat and he's sad and depressed about whether he'll make it home in one piece.
Please send lots of good thoughts and prayers our way!
Jillove27 11-09-2007, 01:03 PM Just passed 5 months working on the 6th. I get to see him next month though! Can't wait for that! :)
sharine25 11-09-2007, 02:02 PM He's almost 6 months gone..9 months to go..18 paychecks left..But hopefully he will be home for R&R when I go into labor..
The deployment has been going ok..I miss him loads and wish he was home but am doing good so far with an occasional up and down hormonal moods..It's going fast with the deployement but I think it's because I am comparing it to the pregnancy...
