Our cats aren't declawed. In Germany it is actually illegal to do it

I said no but we have been considering it. I've heard it really hurts them and I love my kitty to much to hurt him like that. I've bought soft claws and they seem to be doing a good job.

Both my cats aren't declawed. I don't think I would ever do it. I clip them though. My cats don't claw anything. But maybe if I had young children I would declaw.

Nope. I adopted her from PAWS when she was a teeny tiny homeless little kitten :) She still has them.

one is, one isnt. Saint tore up everything! nothing worked with him, so we had the front ones taken out. Storm still has hers, only cause she didnt destroy stuff like Saint did.

I won't declaw my cats. When I adopted mine in CA I had to sign a waiver stating I wouldn't ever do it....

My kitty sure is declawed , as well as my other kitty back home. Our leather furniture would be in shambled if she wasn't declawed, and our baby would have A LOT of claw marks too.

I never did mine. But I assisted on many surgeries, saw the procedure, know whats done and disagree with it. Its a personal choice I guess. If my cat woulda been younger when I had E I probably woulda really considered it tho even tho I am not 100% for it. (she was MEAN)

Nope, and they wont be. I personally disagree with the procedure like Kristi said. We use the soft claws and they work great. I have been spending a lot of time with them too in the hopes that they will be comfortable around Riley too... and they haven't tried to scratch him yet. But regardless, no declawing for us.

Our cats are both declawed only the front claws. They need the back ones to defend themselves (they are indoor outdoor cats)

No my cat isn't declawed, we keep soft paw on her so we don't hvae to worry about her tearing anything up

Nope and we're not going to either. She is really good with them so we haven't had a problem. She has 2 scratchy posts so she does her thing on them.

We had to do that, too. We got her from a no kill shelter and they had sign that we wouldnt have it done and if they found out we did they could actually fine us for $500. They taught me how to clip her nails and we have 2 scratch posts. I have clipped her nails once and they aren't that long now so I haven't worried about doing it again.

Never ever would I declaw my cats. For a couple of reasons. (these are MY opinions) 1: I think it is cruel and painful for the cat, 2: if my cats ever got outside (they're indoor only cats) they would have no way to defend themselves. We clip their nails regularly and they have several scratching posts around the house to scratch on. My cats do not scratch on anything that isn't their scratching posts and they have never tried to claw or scratch my 2 year old.

Nope and unless she starts scratching the baby she won't ever be.

No, and never will be. 2 are indoor cats, 2 are indoor/outdoor cats. I want them to be able to defend themselves if they need to. There is too much wildlife around here that could kill them. Why risk their lives to save a piece of furniture?

No, none of my will never be declawed. I have had cats for 38 years and yes I have had some cat scratches on my face and even one my face for my studio picture appt. I do not ever want them to not be able to defend themselves outside ever they should ever get out. They have a scratching post and 3 cardboard things to sharpen their claws with. I will say my one is digging our throw inthe living room but I will not get her claws taken out. I am going to start working really hard on getting her to stop.

My neighbors that left had the cats 4 paws declawed and he was mostly an outside cat. They have moved out and the cat is living outside and I feed him and take care of him. He has lived in the neighborhood for about 10 years according to my other neighbor. He got into a really bad fight when I was away and I came back to him almost dead. I nursed him back to health and his hair around his neck is finally starting to grow back. After I take care of my baby in the hospital now and 1 of my others for shots the stray will be going to get his shots and all.

This is going to be a topic that people will have to agree to disagree on. I hope everybody remembers that. My good friend got a kitten and she is talking on getting it declawed she asked me and I told her my opinion and I told her that it is her house and I will still continue to be her friend because of it. (she thought i would stop being her friend) I am SO NOT like that. I can agree to disagree.
