Housing:
There is a lot of housing. Some new and some very old. But all in all, its actually pretty nice. And there isn't a very long wait to get into housing either, which is a bonus. I had lived in Bougainville, very nice place, and friendly people. I didn't really like living in town, its got a very high crime level. And i would stay away from any where near Murchison, and Cambridge Arms.

Schools:
Can't say much about the schools.

Shopping:
Very nice commisary and PX, they have one on both sides of the base. Very convenient. And Fayetteville also has some nice shopping places, the cheapest and the best place to go is Super Walmart. Everyone goes there lol.

Cost of living:
Not to low and not to high, it was just right for us. It didnt effect us really.

Military Community:
Very nice place and friendly people. Yes there is a lot of resources for both the servicemember and family member. Everythings not to far from anything else.

Recreation:
There are lots to do. There are museums, shopping areas, play areas for kids, and the beach is 2 hours away. And other major cities are like 2-3 hours away.

Weather:
Hot, humid, rainy. But nice.

Overall:
Yes i would go back. Very nice place and i enjoyed it there. Lots to do, and lots of people to mingle with.

It was ok... I worked for the school system. There are some really great schools an some really bad ones. DO your homework on which ones to send your kids!!

Housing is OK, depending on what you get. We ended up getting a roach and ant infested house that the cabinets and closets weren't even cut strait on... but, it was alright if you overlooked those minor details..lol

VERY unhappy with how the soldiers get treated (by housing and by their own chain of command).

Overall... made some GREAT friends here (and had our first child here), but we're SO ready to leave!

Housing:
I haven't lived in housing but i've been in some of my friend's ones. they all somewhat look the same, some of my friends complain about insect problems & some don't. some are extremely crowded with cars all over the road.

Schools:
i don't have kids.

Shopping:
i prefer the north post mall because it's less crowded & nicer than the south post mall. ft bragg has a mini mall there too.. there's cross creek mall & tons of shopping in fayetteville as well as other mini malls.

Cost of living:
extremely cheap compared to where im from (Maui, Hawaii)
on maui it costs $1,600-$1,900+ to rent a decent apartment with 2 bed 2 baths. here it's $600-$900.
gas is 50 cents cheaper than maui. everything is pretty much cheaper here :)

Military Community:
the base is clean, there are alot of activites/ charities &
there are ups and downs but where isn't there??

Recreation:
there are museums, parks, lakes, ice skating, mini golf, malls, if you get bored of the same old same old you can travel to Raleigh or myrtle beach, sc.

Weather:
from april-ocotber it's usually warm-really hot..
it gets high & low temps all the time & you can see flurries in the winter. (usually chilly)

Overall:
ehhh, it's not anywhere close to my family so that's a minus, but this place is convinient to EVERYTHING and it's one of the biggest out there. If we HAD to then maybe.
