I had the time of my life. My daughter was seven when we went there and ten when we returned and she just loved it! The people there are so friendly! NavyWife725 01-07-2007, 08:50 AM My DH is itching to go back. He was there from 99- 01. I haven't stopped hearing about it in our 4 years together. Maybe we'll get back there one day! Apparently it's just awesome! CMPCAP 01-07-2007, 10:21 AM I LOVED our time there. It was a dream station. We were there from 2001 until Dec 2004. I was happy to get back to the states but miss it horrible. We hope to go back for our next duty and it will be DH's last duty station. It is a little overwhelming when you first move there. It seems SOO foreign. It only took about a week to catch up on sleep and start touring around. DH was in the fire dept (part of air) and loved his work and time there. I tell everyone, if you get a chance to go, GO!! It was wonderful. JKirstiH 01-07-2007, 11:15 AM I am in Portsmouth. I have a ton of stuff I can give you. I was there for 6 months when I was 10 and loved it. Housing is gorgeous. I was back there in Nov for a port call.
