I honestly don't see why that makes news. She's not the only person who endured what she did there and I don't understand why her alone is glorified as a hero when there are many more like her. She was singled out by the media to put a bad light on the war because they wanted to show how this sweet little 19 year old girl was hurt over there. Like i said She deserves a lot of respect but her being recognized above all the others who have been seriously injured and died bugs me. I agree.. I don't like the media.. they like to portray things a certain way, which more often than not is not how it truely is.

I have AOL and I saw that earlier this evening via AOL news and I thought the exact same thing.

the public cares because of the same reason we care about brad pitt, tom cruise, angelina jolie, and all the other celebrities.....they aren't us. they have the ability to have a camera follow them. their lives are sensational. congratulations for her little bun in the oven (its my fav. euphamism) but many many other people were over that suffere at the same time and many many other people are suffering now over there
