My brother called today and spoke to my dad from bootcamp. (The rest of the fam was gone so none of us have a clue about anything.) My father says he said they were allowed to receive care packages in basic at Fort Jackson, but my father didn't ask him what kinds of things could be included.
Anyone know anything?!

My bf is there too!!! He graduates on July 6!!!! I didn't know we were allowed to send care packages!! Thats nice to know.. so did you ever find out what we are allowed to send?????

I can't answer your question but I'm glad your dad got to talk to your brother.

i too didnt know about the care package thing i have always been told you couldnt send them things because things such as magazines,food etc were conviscated.

Asking my husband:

Nothing illegal, anything edible you must include enough for his entire company/battalion/platoon, you can send family pics, just little things...maybe puzzle books if you want. If he's not allowed to have it, they will confiscate it. Every basic is different, this is just what was generally allowed.
