I am trying to send out dh first package for this deployment and I already have the flat rate boxes and all forms that I think I need at my house but I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way I can print out the postage/shipping label online with USPS.

I already tried to do it the normal way on there but it said it was an invalid address or something like that so I was just wondering if there was a different way that I can do it for FPO/AP address'. :confused

I've never tried it online... I've always carried my butt up to the post office for that kind of thing... :dunno

I just never have the time to go but I hate the lines that always seem to be there when I do need to go.

I think I am just going to call them tomorrow and find out. It sure would be nice if we can.

I think the reason you need to go to the post office is probably because you need to fill out a customs form when you send FP/AP pkgs. I hadn't even thought of how convenient those flat rate boxes would be for care packages though! I think I would just talk to my mail carrier (she's really nice though) and ask if there was any way to avoid the post office.

Let us know how it works out!

Agreed. I always went in because of the customs form you have to fill out etc. But I never went thru the post office. I went thru Mailboxes etc and was usually in and out in no time...G'luck!

Yeah, I agree, it because of the Customs form. That's why I had to go to the post office to send out Conor's. I've never had too many problems with the post office up past the schools before you get to 52. They have always gotten me in and out pretty fast.

Do I just go straight down Santo to get to that one?

Yeah, straight down Santo, it's in the shopping center on the left before 52. Make a left into there and then a right in the parking lot. It's straight back.

I just ended up going in today on my lunch but I did ask him about printing the label off thier website and he said you can get the customs form off line but they have yet to make it where you can pay and print your shipping label but they have had a ton of people ask for that.

So hopefully they will change that soon.

If you ordered the mili-pak from USPS then it comes with the customs labels to fill out, they just sign them and you pay at the Post Office. The number is on the USPS website. They are free supplies and this way all you have to do is take everything down and pay for it. HTH ;)
