I have been doing the weight watchers thing, and I always noticed that Egg Beaters had approx HALF the point value of actual eggs - so I finally broke down and bought some to try. Holy COW it tastes great!! I just got the regular kind, not the flavored kind, I sprayed the pan with butter spray (the non stick stuff) and added a little bit of salt and some pepper and scrambled it up - it tasted EXCELLENT - I like it better than real eggs :)

I bought two packs of them while I was doing weight watchers but I chickened out and didn't try them. They were just kinda scary looking :lmao I may have to try them though b/c egg yolks are definitely fattening.

Kristi, they are a little bit more expensive than regular eggs.

It's like they scrambled eggs and put them in a carton for you. To me, they don't taste any different. I usually get egg beaters instead of eggs at restaurants. Denny's and IHOP offer that so I usually just get them because there's no difference in taste IMO and if it's healthier might as well.

Well if they aren't much more expensive and they aren't as fattening I may have to try them.

Yum I like Egg Beaters to. I make an omlet with it and put peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes in there, to get some veggies in :)

I was always worried to try them too. Just like meat in a can. That just doesn't sound right.

I may have to try them out now.

Kristi if you get the bigger carton of them, it's the equivalent of 15 eggs and it's right around $4 - I'm not sure though they are probably cheaper at the commissary. I was just at Walmart because I needed soy sauce quickly, and decided to just give it a shot. The commissary had been out when I last looked.

They are good. My Grandmother used to cook with them.

I LOVE egg beaters, I haven't used real eggs in any meal for about a year now. I buy them at Costco, I get a big box with 8 cartons in it for about 6$. And they last SOOO long in the fridge. We go through a whole box in about 3-4 weeks. 1/4 cup is equal to one egg, and when you count the WW points, 1/2 (or 2 eggs) comes out to only 1pt!

i agree - egg beaters are awesome. i bought them because my dog loves a scrambled egg in the morning and i started to worry about his health because i was making him eggs so often. they taste fine, and they look and feel like regular eggs. i don't buy them at the commissary because a small carton runs like $2.50 there, and i can buy a pack of 4 small cartons at sam's club for like $6.00.

my mom and grandma both got diagnosed with high cholesterol so i have been pushing the egg beaters thing on them like crazy. do not be afraid!! :P

We buy them at Sam's club. We freeze them, and let them defrost in the fridge overnight. they are great!
