yeah, it was a little short notice, and i apologize for that.

in fact, i REALLY hate to do this, but dh thinks we're poor so going out to eat is out of the question for me right now. :sadeyes i have no idea where he got that idea from, and i know it sucks that i was one of the ones who came up with the idea to get together, but i had no idea his panties would get all twisted about it. :(

well, my place is probably out, i have a 2 bedroom town house. plus, with all the problems we're having with this apartment, i wouldn't want anyone over here, especially kids cause we think we might have mold under the carpet

I have plenty room in the house, a big yard, and a pool table, but I live way out there! At least an hour from Norfolk. And I don't have any kids, so no toys. Nothing, haha. And the guest bathroom looks awful, working on redoing it...and that probably won't be done right and complete until after DH gets home and has time to redo the shower stalls and the floor, right now it's walls aren't finished painted, the cabinets aren't finished painted, and the mirror needs to be scraped some more, maybe in the future? I am sure you wouldn't think it was too pretty. And my master bathroom needs some stuff done to it as well. But, I have plenty of room. haha.

I would love to get together and we need to start this up again in this area anyway! We seem to not get together as much anymore but then again I have been out of the loop!

I have a huge house by default but it is on the other side of the HRBT. If you all would want to drive over I could talk to hubby about it but ya'll let me know. Other than that going out would be fine with me once everyone could(believe me I understand the money thing. It's not an option for us either since we aint got none!!!! :lol ) We could also meet in the park have a mini picnic or something. :D

Different things!! They have guest speakers, the Chief's Wife gives us updates on the boat, your can buy raffle tickets for things, buy CandyGrams for your Sailor, lots of information on different things, they give out door prizes, etc. It's really fun, IMO and informative. The Ombudsman are there but they do not run the meeting. There is a whole Support Group for the ship. I think it is a great group! You should come, if you can! Let me know!! :D

Something inexpensive would be good, we are trying to buy a new car and i dont have a job yet. what day doesnt really matter to me. my house is to small for everyone :no Keri Ann i wouldnt mind coming over except im :chicken to drive away from norfolk/va beach area :lol

She has been trying to get me to go to a meeting once a month, but I don't think it is the same one.

I can't make it this time, but maybe one of the next ones.

I would really like to, but I just don't do well meeting new people. I am shy at first and just don't feel completely comfortable, so getting there is one the hardest parts, haha. I am hoping I will just choke it up and go one day, once I meet a few people I will be fine, I think.. so, I will try to make to one.. just not the one this week.
