Walts dad was trying to communicate with him by the commuter in the underground room. While talking to Walt, Jack came in and when they went back to the screen it was blank.
The big black guy from the new group (mr Eko), made Charlie take him to the plane crash site. He was the one who put the drugs on the VM figures. His brother was killed in the crash.
Claire left Charlie cause of the drugs. Oh and kate gave Sawyer a hair cut.
