I've only had my kitty for a few weeks, and he's about 12 weeks old. when I first got him, he was sweet as pie, but now he won't stop biting me and trying to tear apart my comforter!! help, I've grown to love this kitty, but now he makes me want to cry!!:tears :confused

And it doesn't phase him in the least when I say "NO" or "STOP" loudly.

You can try a squirt bottle of water and a firm no. Kitties do go thru teething and that can make em bite.

As far as clawing goes I never had a problem with my old cat. But if it is a problem I suggest investing in some softpaws now while the kitty is young. You can find em at a petstore. Just cut your kitties nail and super glue em on. This will help guard against clawing and such

G'luck!

Keep a squirt bottle full of water by the bed, when he misbehaves, squirt him in the face with it and tell him no. Eventually, he'll get the idea. It doesn't hurt him, but they don't like water in their faces. He's starting to get into that stage where mischief is his forte.

ok thanks! i'm going to the pet store today and I'm also going to buy the stuff that you spray on fabric so he won't try to eat it. i think it's more of a biting problem than scratching problem...

does your kitty have lots of kitty toys??? Maybe this will help with the need to bite something...

he has a ton of toys, which he loves, but he just wants to play and bite 24-7! so if my hand is closest thing to him then....chomp!
