Well it's been 3 days and so far his naps are going like clockwork. He has been sleeping on the futon PERFECTLY. In fact I even got to nap today!! So no crib for naps! Only nighttime right now!

I was so worried about it not working but its going great. Now mind you I still rock him to sleep for naps (only naps tho...not nighttime) But he is waking up great on the futon. In fact this time he woke up and came into my room and got me when he was awake :giggle

In 2 weeks we will disassemble the crib and put it up in our room and put his toddler bed up. I think for nighttime we'll also use a gate on his door. I dont really need 1 for naptime since I sleep so light and he comes and gets me when he is awake.

But! So far so good! MUCH better then I actually thought it would be (so far)

Yeah lil man! :lovestruck

I'm so happy for you! You'll be so happy to have this big thing out of the way before your baby comes. It's one of those things that you know needs to be done eventually and just sorta looms over your head until you get the courage to finally make the switch :giggle Definitely get a baby gate. Shelby and Jaxon are both very good sleepers are very flexible most of the time, but I still had some problems with them trying to come out of their rooms at first. So, the baby gate for night time is probably a must have, at least for a little while. Once you stop rocking him to sleep, it may take a few days to get used to putting himself to sleep so the baby gate will keep him confined :teehee I'm really happy he's done so well for you. It feels good to have one big step out of the way, doesn't it? Night time will probably be a little bit harder, but I bet he'll do great since he's doing so good right now!
