View Full Version : Halloween & infants
AG2Wife 09-27-2006, 09:19 PM DH & I went to TRU last night & saw a few baby halloween costumes.
Do people take their babies door to door or is just something cute for them to wear around the house? :dunno
IgglesmumX2 09-27-2006, 09:21 PM I think it depends on the family. Our first Halloween with kids we dressed DD up for her to sit outside with us while we handed out candy. Last year we had DD and DS so DS got dressed up to go with us door to door for DD.
MelissaMc424 09-27-2006, 09:27 PM A lot of people dress their babies up and take them door to door.. Cam didn't actually trick or treat until last year when she was walking...I dressed her in a onesie and piglet diaper cover for a halloween playgroup when she was a couple months old though.
I think you should dress Maddie up... I've seen some really cute costumes for babies lately!
Ellen 09-27-2006, 09:28 PM When Morissa was a baby, our nephew lived with us. We dressed her up and took her around with us when we took him around.
Amber V 09-27-2006, 09:36 PM I did not dress up Lexi until her 2nd halloween. However the youngest two we dressed/dressing up their first halloween only because they look cute while taking our oldest dd out.
Lindsey 09-27-2006, 10:14 PM I got Jamison a costume last year bc we were supposed to go to a church party but then he ended up in the ER with a bilateral so that blew it all to heck....
DoublEE's Momma 09-27-2006, 10:20 PM Eian was 6 months old for his 1st halloween and I took him door to door trick or treating, he sat in his stroller for it all though and he got a few suckers...it was fun.
Caimbrie 09-27-2006, 10:43 PM In our case this year we're dressing Wyatt up and taking him with us door to door because his brothers will be trick or treating :)
Ds was little over a month old. he had a cute little pumpkin outfit and we sat outside handing out candy. this year we will walk the neighborhood with some friends but since he does not eat sugar IF he should get any candy it is for me!!!:devil

MichelleB 09-28-2006, 08:10 AM I dressed Taylor up last year and we took her Trick or Treating with my friend's boys. She had a blast watching all the kids!
Becca 09-28-2006, 08:41 AM DD didn't go trick or treating last Halloween, she was only 9 months old. But we did have her out with us when we were passing out candy :) We set up a table in between our house and our neighbors house and sat out there with our neighbors for the trick or treaters. That way our collective dogs didn't go berserker everytime someone rang the doorbell. I still made her a costume though :)
