What base is the Nassau in..

There are a few bases around here.

It's in NOB. The main base in Norfolk.

Nassau is the Embassy and AUTEC
Very hard to get. We have only seen billets for chiefs and up.
We saw the TINY base while we were there in 04 and I do mean TINY

Hey are you talking about the USS NASSAU?? If you are then its ported in Norfolk, NOB. My husband was on the NAssau for 4 years. I believe they are out to sea right now. I could be wrong. I was down before Christmas and they were out.. Do you have orders to the Nassau???

My bf is currently on the Uss nassau.. hes deployed until mayish...

i was just curious cuz i thought the cdc would be on that base too.. and that would be awesome

and john has only been on the Nassau for as long as he has been in the nacy.. and thats only since April 2005. Hes a machinest mate

My husband is out on the uss nassau right now also.

Okay Girls,
I see there are so more USS Nassau people on here. We are getting stationed there in next month. Dh is hoping they will fly him out the ship. We should be moving there next month. I hope to meet you all!! DH has been a west coast sailor the whole time we have been together (12 years) but he was only in VA when he first joined 16 years ago. So we know NOTHING about VA really.

There are several naval bases in the area..
Norfolk Naval base, which is the big base
Oceana naval base, which is where all the planes are stationed
Little Creek Amphibious Base (where my husband is stationed)
And Damneck (but I'm not sure if that is a naval base)
There is also Fort Story which is a army base

oh and answer to your question about the mail. I've noticed as they get closer the mail doesnt take as long. I sent out a package the first of March and he got about a week and half later. So its all up to you. I was going to send out one more myself before they get back.
