Has anyone ever had a endometrial biopsy? Did it hurt? My doctor wants me to take 600mg one hour prior to the procedure... Shouldn't 2 motrin be enough. I'm concerned with taking 3 tablets at once..
I was reading some of the risks....
Pelvic infection
Heavy bleeding
Puncturing the cervix/uterus..
We are trying to have a baby and it's taking longer...4yrs of trying..

I've never had one, but I'm assuming (correct me if I'm wrong) that the risks are small....with a procedure like that, I think it's normal that you're going to have some kind of bleeding...after all, they're removing something.
It's the doctor's responsibility to tell you the risks though, no matter how small. If he's told you to take the pills, then take the pills...two motrin may not be enough for this kind of procedure.
Be strong and hang in there!

I've never had one but Don't worry about the 600mg of motrin... I've been prescibed 800mg before.

I know nothing about the biopsy stuff, so I hope that goes well for you. As far as the many mg of motrin, I do know that in sports, it is pretty common for women to be prescribed 800mg. Just don't do it on a completely empty stomach and drink lots of water. Good luck!

I had one. It hurt a little but it's over with very quick and the cramps only lasted a couple hours. I took either 600 or 800mg and did fine with that. Good luck!

I had a biopsy done. It feels like a pinch at first and some cramping for about an hour afterward. It wasnt bad. I had cryotherapy on my cervix because they found something on the biopsy ...now thats another story...
