I went to target to get my pills filled and it didnt cost me a dime....I was told that since i dont live near a base they would average 3-9 dollars...I didnt argue with the pharmacist, but i was just curious if i was either told wrong or not charged and should have been...

I know that when DH had to fill an RX at a pharmacy he didnt pay anything. Maybe they put you in as AD instead of dependent

Usually you have to pay if you don't get your prescriptions filled at a Navy Pharmacy. But maybe they've changed it, so you can get it on the outside. But either way, that's Awesome!!

There have been times when I have gone to the pharmacy and have not been charged...Im not sure what the reasoning is, but normally it was $5 for my prescriptions.

The worker there told me 9 bucks for each one, but then the pharmacist told me nothing...I signed and walked away LOL Did i just steal drugs? LOL

We didn't pay anything either when dh was recruiting in michigan cause there wasn't a base anywhere close!

if there isnt a base pharmacy near you, there is no copay. you have no choice but to go to a civilian.... now if there is a base you will be pay either $3 or $9.

Thanks gals, i was confused...Cause the tricare man we went to sign up with at the base said i would have to pay 3-9 bucks...My friend who just married an army guy, when she was living here had to pay for hers...Yeah there is not a treatment place within the mile radius...

Can someone tell me where this is in writing...we're an hour from a mtf...

I lived more than 50 miles from a base and still had to pay the 3 or 9 co-pay. Would have been nice to know if I didn't have to lol.
