I love this it is so easy!
8 apples ( I like gala because they are sweet)
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup water
a couple sprinkles of cinnamon
peel the apples and quarter. Put into a pot with all of the ingredients.Simmer on Med. for 30 min. Mash with a potato masher or fork. I use a hand mixer and it comes out really smooth.
