Ok so dh is reinlisting while over in Iraq. he... well we, want to have it as part of his package to get orders to Germany or Ft. Stuart. My question is, when he does that how soon after getting home would we get the orders? i know just because he puts it in doesnt mean it will happen but I was just curious on possible timing. TIA

But I do know that with the Navy that if it isn't in writing it usually doesn't happen

We're in the same boat, so to speak. We're up for reenlistment in a few months, and will be asking for Ft Lewis/Madigan Hospital. I have no idea how the requests work, but I can ask dh when I get a chance later today.

Thanks! I would ask dh but i wont be able to talk to him for a few more weeks. Im just worried that Ill move up there b4 he comes home to set things up and then get orders for a few months later to leave. I also dont want to run the chance of moving when we have our wedding planned. If that may be the case i might just talk to dh about waiting to put a request in and deal with Ft drum for a year or so.

Ok...a little info from dh...

Your dh should find out while he's over there where his orders will be for, and if he gets his request. It should happen within the first 5 months of his return from the box.
