Are there any limits as to the size of the packages? I just ordered some USPS flat rate boxes that are 11x8", is that ok? Is there anything that I am not allowed to send him? I know I can't send anything perishable, meltable, contraband, or alcoholic. Anything else?

oh, how do you get those boxes? Do you just buy 'em at the post office like other merchandise?

You can get them for free from the post office.

Dont forget anything that can blow up under pressure.

I sent my db so much stuff in the flat rate boxes. Gum, candy, newspapers, magazines, chips, cookies, shampoo, deodorant. He loved anything that I sent him. I think I ended sending him a package 2 or 3 times a month. It took about 7 to 9 days for him to get a package.

I hope this helps,
Lori

I went to USPS.com and ordered them for FREE. They came in sets of 10 or 25. ABSOLUTELY FREE! No shipping. You can also pick them up at any post office. The ones I ordered are $8.10 no matter how heavy or where they are shipped to. I(L) Flat rate boxes. You can also get flat rate envelopes for 4.15 no matter the weight or destination.

Oh and I have sent boxes as heavy as 17 pound LOL and I have not had a problem. Just make sure you put things like shaving cream, shampoo, toothpaste..ect in there on zip lock bag just in case the box gets squished and they break open.

I started sending my husband several small packages the $8.10 packages I would send him several so that if it took a long time for one package than atleast the rest of the packages would get to him he says that he enjoys that.
