I hate to see people locked up inside a car smoking with their kids:mad I just think its not fair. I remember when my parents would smoke in the car with me..i felt like i couldnt breathe. I just dont think its fair to the kids:no






on a funny side note:teehee My mom once told me a story about how i was 6 and me and my sisters were in the back seat. We were coming home from the drive in and her and my dad decided to smoke a joint (it was the 70's:dunno ) anyhoo..they cracked the windows..but not enough cause when we got home i was BOUNCING OFF THE WALLS. She said i laughed for 2 hours straight. Then i sat infront of the fish tank and zoned out and watched the fish swim. She swore to never smoke ANYTHING in the car with us kids in it:lmao

I grew up with a mom that smoked around us, there are many people that do. I was just curious

I dont smoke but Dh smokes a little at work!! I told him when we found out we were pregnant with Reagan that he had to quit!! At least around us!!

Oh my family smoked around me too, I wasn't trying to upset you or anything - I just was thinking what a thoroughly stupid and dangerous thing it is to do, and figured noone would actually admit to putting their childs health in danger by smoking around them.

But now, looking at the poll results, I see I was wrong :ninja

my mom smoked around me when i was younger and still does...i dont smoke but df does so in the future when we have kids he is deff. not going to smoke around them.

we don't have any kids yet, but we won't when we do have them. in fact, we don't even allow ourselves to smoke inside. we have always and will always go outside to smoke.

when we use to smoke, we always did outside. even before trent was born. when we traveled we would stop and get out of the car instead of smoking inside the car.

I only smoke around kids if the parents don't mind, like if they're a smoker too. If the parents don't like it, I keep my distance while I smoke.

Nope.... even if the parents dont mind. I know i learned of smoking from my parents and I dont want to be the one that teaches a kid that. It not fair to the children. Even if im outside somewhere and a kid is there I will walk away, hide the cigerette, or put it out.

We dont somke, If we did we would definitly not do it in our house or in the car that is disgusting! (IMO) That is not something I want my children exposed to anywhere.

I no longer smoke. I quit when I was pregnant with my son. I did start back up for awhile after I had him (but quit before this baby came along) but I always changed clothes, smoked outside, changed my clothes upon coming in, washed my hands and brushed my teeth and used moutwahs every single time.

My husband smokes but does it outside. If we are walking in a parking lot or something he will cross to the other side and I will walk with our son and he will smoke. Or at a resturant etc he will stand outside and smoke while we go inside.

I'm a quitter, but when I found out I was pregnant I stopped after I had my daughter I sometimes smoked socially but never around her. I would hate her to see me smoking especially now since she's 12. I wouldn't want her to do it or think it is okay to do.

The only time I will ever smoke around a child is if we are outside and I can have the ciggerett smoke blow in the other direction and that is after asking the parent if it is alright. I try to respect everyone around me. Just becuase I have a bad habit does not mean that I should make others suffer becuase of it.

:vent :mad Oh I get fumed when I see people smoke around their kids or any kids....to me that's almost the same as having a abortion...they deserve a fighting chance also...I have told my share of people just how I felt when I see it...I wish my babies could grow up in a smoke free society..wishful thinking ..huh What really burns my a** is when people say "I try not too" It's not a hard thing..you want to or not... I have asthma and when my lungs feel like im going to die that sh*t isn't funny... Sorry for the lingo but im keeping it real.....:banghead

We don't have kids yet, but we don't smoke around kids. We don't even smoke around other adults that don't smoke. We smoke outside, so our house doesn't smell.

I don't smoke around the kdis or in the car with them. When they arn't in the car though i do smoke. But I drive a jeep wrangler the windows and top are usually off so it's like the smoke will linger in there..LOL.

I've only smoked a handfull of times in front of Jakob and its outside.
