I know, I know...alot of people hate videogames...primarily because your kids or SOs going into zombie mode while they are playing and act like you don't exist. They neglect responsibiilies and use it as a tool for avoidance.

I, however, love video games and I feel like they can be fun, entertaning and educational IF they are monitored correctly. I do recall people having the same arguments about TV years ago and now, with the right self-monitoring, it can be a reasonable form of household entertainment.

So, check out www.wii.com and look at the experience videos. Take a look at how nintendo is making their console more of a social form of entertainment. I'd like to know what non-gamers think of it? Would you be willing to try it? Would something that enourages more social interaction and physical involvement in the game help change your perspective on gaming?

Just curious.

I think it's neat. But I am also a gamer.. or used to be anyway... don't really have time now.

I like video games, I've never minded them. I don't play them that much, but it has never bugged me that dh does. He loves his video games, but he's never neglected the important things in life because of them. There is a pause button and he knows how to use it. Now I don't have kids so I dont really have an opinion on that one

Our whole house is full of gamers! Even Shelby is trying to start playing :rofl I don't really mind them because Jason and Jaxon are both pretty good about stopping when it's time to stop.

Same for us. Conner plays video games, and we use it as a "reward", sort of like an allowance of sorts. I can tell ya though that he knows how to play the games better than I do!!

that is taking too long to load. maybe I have too many windows open. I've never given games much of a try just because it seems boring sitting there with the controller, but if it was more physical and social than others, I may think about it. Kevin has a few football games and Colby has a couple car games, but they aren't into it that much.

my df really wants to get this, he is such a video game nerd :nerd :lol :P it used to make me sooooo mad when he would play video games at my house, instead of his...and it still bugs me when he plays them while he is on the phone with me, so idk how i would feel if he bought this :dunno

I think it's cool and it would be fun to try it out, but I would never bring something into my house that would encourage Russ to ignore me any further. We just now found a common ground to stand on when it comes to video/computer games.
