View Full Version : Frustrating =(
*~*Cori*~* 10-16-2006, 11:04 AM My body is driving me crazy. . . :(
Ok... Here goes. . .
August 30th I took a pregnancy test because I was feeling weird. My period wasn't due for a few more days but I did it anyways. It was a Clear Blue Digital... It said."PREGNANT" I freeked out and was crying and upset and all get out. I finally got it through my head I probably was preggo and started calming down. I ejected the test stick and there wasn't any lines on it like there should have been. So... getting worried I took the other one and it said NOT PREGNANT I was upset cause I finally had gotten excited about it and have never got a false positive. Well. . . I started my period 2 days later like on Sept 2nd. So, I just went on about life.
Ok... flash forward to a week ago. I hadn't started my period and so I again got another test... same kind Clear Blue Digital and took it... it said
PREGNANT so I wait a day and take the other one and GUESS WHAT??
It said NOT PREGNANT:banghead :vent Then I waited another week and took a EPT regular stick test and it also said NOT PREGNANT I still haven't started my period and don't feel like I am going to start. :confused
I was sick for 3 days last week with horrible pains on my left side around my ovary but it finally subsided. I thought it was period cramps but then my period never came. So, here I am confused as all get out but apparently not preggo. But 2 false positives...:freakout I want to give Clear Blue a piece of my mind!!!
I dont know what to think though... Before I had Jerron my period was always a hit and miss sometimes up to 6 mths, but it has never been more than 2-3 weeks late since then. And the month I came off my BC I had a normal period actually 28 days... and thats the last one I have had.
Any ideas, thoughts??
Thanks Girls
:hugs
Kaymara 10-16-2006, 11:09 AM False positives are REALLY rare. So to get 2 like that is odd. Do you still have the box? You may wanna call clearblue and see if they have any info on a lot giving out false positives
As far as the lines on the stick you ejected. Those sticks work differently. ALOT differently. So you dont needs lines on em like a normal one.
Also. When I got pregnant this time. I took 2 nex brand and got positives. Took an ept got a pregnant, took another ept before rod got home and got a not pregnant. If your urine is diluted it can cause a negative result as well. Also sometimes cysts can give positives reults on tests. If you ar ein doubt make a Dr appt.
G'luck
harrisonsdream 10-16-2006, 11:10 AM i'd go and get a blood test done just to be sure.
Ellen 10-16-2006, 11:10 AM I would go to the doctor.
Armylove 10-16-2006, 11:15 AM Im sorry to hear that you are so frustrated. Id say go to your doc and get it tested, and if its neg, you can talk to them about why you are feeling the way you are. Hope it gets better.
LaurenBeth 10-16-2006, 11:17 AM i'd go and get a blood test done just to be sure.
me too just to make sure.
I'm not sure about that clear blue test. I only used the EPT when I got pregoo with Brayden. I took it the day I should have gotten my period and it was positive.
Kristin 10-16-2006, 11:17 AM Go get another pack of tests and take them first thing in the morning!!

I am scared about the cyst issue cause I had one rupture on my ovary when I was 17 and I thought I was going to die... :sadeyes
I still don't have any insurance and its hard for us to go to the dr....
We don't qualify for Medicaid but with his "state" job he has to wait for a career slot to open and then has to pretty much wait... He was interviewed and they put him and like 20 others in a group ranked them and will give it to them accordingly.. BS right?? He works like 6 days a week and gets atleast 20+ hours OT and still NO insurance... and I am suffereing BAD over here for it.
christymichelle 10-16-2006, 11:26 AM i just want to give ya a hug:hugs i'm sorry to hear about your frustration

Then maybe you should go to planned parenthood. SInce this is an issue of whether you are pregnant or not or another issue like a possible cyst or whatever you really do need to see a Dr. Most planned parenthoods will see you for free or for a donation if you have no insurance
*~*Cori*~* 10-16-2006, 11:34 AM Would the Health Dept be the same thing?
We don't have a Planned Parenthood persae in this town

More then likely yes. I'd call em
harrisonsdream 10-16-2006, 11:38 AM are you enrolled in school? if you are enrolled in a university they do free or very discounted testing for STD's (not saying you need it) and pg testing. also look up the discount clinics, they usually have them in downtown low-income areas
Erika 10-16-2006, 11:56 AM Yeah, the health dept is the same thing. Go there and get a blood test done. :hugs
DoublEE's Momma 10-16-2006, 12:09 PM the pain you discribed sounds like a cyst..I've got tons of them on my ovaries (PCOS, which makes my cycles like nonexsisent...
I would def go see a doc about your cycles, there's meds they can put you one if they find it nessicary (I'm taking metformin) to hlp get your system workin properly.
:hugs I hope you find out what's the matter
StarEyedAngel 10-17-2006, 02:18 PM Yah, you need to get into a doctor either way. Any doctor or hospital will have to see you because they cannot turn patients away, it's unethical. They can work out a payment plan with you if that is a problem. Ask if they can do a Single Patient Agreement. (SPA) I use to work those out all the time. Good luck!
I've had false positives and false negatives...some people's bodies react that way even though it's not common.
CoffeeGirl 10-17-2006, 09:46 PM go to the doctor.....
definitely so sweety!:yes :hugs
Teresa 10-17-2006, 10:03 PM :hugs
footstepswife 10-17-2006, 11:04 PM :hugs Cori! I agree go to the doctor, it could be a million things or it could be nothing. But I would get a blood test just to make sure. Good Luck Sweetie

Sonia 10-18-2006, 02:56 AM I developed the ClearBlue digital pregnancy test and I have NEVER seen a false positive - it's that rare. False negatives are more common. You should definitely go to the Dr to find out what's going on. I'm sorry you're going through this :hugs
