I'm new, obviously, LOL. :D I'm Beth, 23 and married to Colin, almost 23. He's a nuke and we just moved to Washington state. We are loving it! He's on the USS Abraham Lincoln. I've noticed that many people hate nukes for some reason.:depressed Oh well, what can ya do??

I'm currently searching for a job as a barista or something in a veterinarian's office.

Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself. Looking forward to getting to know everybody!

Well everytime I tell someone he's a nuke, they go "oh" or they roll their eyes. I don't know what their problem is.

Because a lot of enlisted people really do. They think that nukes are pompous because they HAVE to be good in what they do. They tend to also be jealous of the fact that nukes make more money than a lot of enlisted people and that they move up in the ranks faster. These are all things people have turned up their noses at my husband for so I know first hand.

Hi Beth, I actually live just East of the Naval Station. Sounds like you are really liking WA so far. I've lived here all my life and love it here. Will be sad if we ever have to move. Anyway I am glad to see some people on here from around this area. We are Army but hubby is stationed full time in Seattle. One of my best Friend's husbands is actually on the Lincoln too.
