Today I found a blessing in disguise. My DB emailed me and told me that when he comes home, it won't be because he gets block leave. Instead, he is coming home to get his ankles fixed! Whoo hoo! That means that he has to stay home for a few months for recovery and physical therapy. Even better yet, he'll be home a couple of weeks sooner than expected. :yahoo He wanted to surprise me but then he remembered that I have to plan for a subtitute to take time off of work and pick him up at the airport. So, he went ahead told me. :)

I am SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOO EXCITED!

Anyway, I have been pondering what to get him as a welcome home gift. He has so few wants or needs right now. The only thing that came to mind was a new down comforter because he was worried about freezing his butt off after being in such hot weather for so long.

Any other ideas?

I got a down comforter after the SO left, I LOOOVE it.. I tell him that it's his replacement for keeping me warm at night.. Except I had to buy a duvet because it poops feathers out occasionally..

When my BIL came home, everyone chipped in and we bought him a super fancy recliner. It has a cooler in the armrest. I think it is the same model that was on "Friends"...

sorry don't really have any suggestions cause I have done all sorts of things.
I bought dh a citzen watch that does something he wanted, Clothes, DVDs, tools etc...

I bought Tom a laptop monica! Or I was going to get him a puppy! But I settle on the laptop even though he really wants the puppy and we are going to wait till we get settle in together!

Oh man! He already has both of those, but they are such good ideas. I also thought about getting him a nice cover for the bed of his pick-up truck, but that might be too far out of my price range right now. hmm....

I might just have to stick with the down comforter idea for now.:dunno
