DF just told me that he will most likely deploy again in FEB. If he goes again now it will be for another 6 months. If he waits and they forcibly send him again in a year or so it will be for a year. He would rather just be gone for the 6 months than a year. So he might be leaving again soon. I just got him back.......I know I can do this but I will miss him so bad especially if I get pregnant.

I'm soo sorry!! If I was in that situation, I'd much rather have him gone for 6 months rather than a year, even if it isn't that too far away. And I think it would be better for him to be gone while you were preggo instead of if ya'll had a kid and he missed the first year of his/her life. :hugs That's a hard decision to make, it's like suffer now and suffer shorter but sooner. I think I would rather the 6 month though, as difficult as that's going to be for you. Also, I'd rather be preggo and have DH deployed than him miss much of a new baby's first year. DH went to Iraq when Lydia was 4 months old and she was almost 9 months old when he got home, I'd rather him been gone for 4 months of my pregnancy (Unless he'd miss the birth, that's a different story). Things could be a lot worse!!! He would be going back to Kuwait again so at least it would be a little familiar to him. But since he has been home he has told me some more of the stuff that happened over there that he wouldnt tell me while he was there. I will be so worried!!!!

My DH did that too! Don't you hate that? I know my DH was in a secured area when he was in Iraq but they were apparently getting mortared on a daily basis, especially heavy the 2 weeks before he came home. He said he was surprised I didn't hear it on the phone :gaah Like anyone needs to hear this stuff? Hopefully your DH will be as safe as he can be wherever he goes :hugs

Thanks girls. He knows I will stand by him no matter what he decides. And yeah I would rather he be gone for 6 months and not a year. It will be hard to do again so soon but our relationship is strong enough to do this.
