Any of the Bragg ladies having trouble finding jobs out here? Or is it just me? Ive been here for about 5 months now and everyone I talked to said it took them 1-3 months to find a job. K, so what am I doing wrong? HAHA I just want a job so Im not hope all the time. And Im not being picky. Ive done just about everything to find something. Temp agencies, the mall, classifieds online and in the paper..HELP!

hey InLoveWithMySoldier...I've been looking for a job since I got out here in October and still no luck!! WTF? I couldn't even get a job at Target and I had a job as sales associate at the same company for nearly 3 years!!! It sucks!!

oh and I'd love to meet up with you ladies! we can set something up...that'd be awesome!!

I'm in Fayetteville, (yes i live off post of fort bragg) I'm new to this militarysos site, thought i'd say hi to everyone!

I am at Pope, well we do not live on base but close too it.....

Fayetteville does seem to be a hard place to find work. I lived there for 3 months until I found my job. I had given up on a job in my field so I started work as a server at Chili's, but about a week into that I got a call for a job I had put in for. So I quit Chili's after like 3 shifts... I felt bad about that. My job I got was a good with pretty good pay (although my boss was a crazy lady). There are just so many people there (lots of military spouses) so there are so many people looking for work. Good luck!!

I'm at Bragg, well I was until the hubby got deployed, but I'll be back in February or March to get a house before he gets back in April.

I left Fayetteville about a year an a half ago. When I first moved there it took me3 months to find a job. I eventually got one with the school system. There are just so many people in that area... so there are tons of spouses looking for work. Good luck!!!

We just moved from Bragg! I lived in Fayetteville for 20yrs.I miss it there.

Hello all, I'm here near Bragg (Fayetteville) too. I'm actually surprised there's this many people from the area on this site :)

When we first moved here 3 years ago, we weren't military yet, and my hubby and I both found jobs within 2 months of being here, after 1 month of actively looking. Food Lion was a pretty good employer as long as you're not a checker, and as long as you can ignore drama. Hubby was a pharmacy tech in CA before we moved here so he found a job doing that within a week of looking.
