how long did you bleed after having a baby?


I'm 15 days post partum and no end in sight :sadeyes :nutts I just want it to stop already! It keeps lightening up and stopping for like a half day. Then I think it's almost over and the dam lets loose again :vent :banghead

With Joby I bled for 6 months and they finally decided to do a D&C. With Josh it was about a month.

Savannah-3 weeks
Gabe- 6 weeks
Chris- 8 weeks

Chris was so long because I had a lot of problems healing with his c-section.

mine was 4 weeks

Cory 2 weeks
Lily 2 months

6 weeks

I bled for about 2 weeks PP with Cam. It was only heavy the first few days and slowly tapered off after that. I hope it stops soon Brandi!

Both about six weeks, it might have been slightly less with Madison.

i would think it should be between 4-6 weeks and anything longer than that isnt normal is it?

it was about 3 weeks somewhat heavy then about 3 more weeks of lighter, but still have had to wear something bleeding.

mine lasted for about two weeks, maybe a little less.

I bled for 2 weeks but when I got my first period it was about a month and a half long!

the full estimated 6 weeks they said I would.

If I remember correctly, mine was 6 weeks with both kids:yes

With Ericka it was around 4 weeks but with Nathan it was about 6 weeks. It was very frustrating! It would stop...it even stopped for a whole week only to start right back up again the minute I left the house without a pad :nutts .

With Colin, 6 weeks. With Caleb, 3 weeks.

I think I had some type of pp bleeding for aobut 6 weeks after having my dd. I remember I had still had some spotting at my 6 week pp check up.

I bled for 6 weeks but was only heavy and crampy the first week, the rest was like a normal period.

It took me almost a month to stop bleeding.

about 3-4 weeks with Zach and I had Nikolai Sept. 25 and I am still bleeding off and on. It stops and then starts again like half a day later. It stinks though that is for sure!

2 1/2 long months....

if this goes on for another month or more, I may lose my mind :shock :shock :shock :shock

Did anybody think that breastfeeding helped with the PP bleeding time? Or cramping?

I bled for 2 weeks after Alex and I literally bled for 2 months for Cameron and almost 2 months for Wyatt.

I think it was a couple of weeks and was really light.

Oh and yes I do think breastfeeding helps with the bleeding and cramping.

I has it for a good month.. maybe longer with spotting. Hang in there!!!!

oh yeah!! it releases a hormone that helps to recover.

i am trying to remember how long i did and cannot for the life of me.:banghead i know joe came home a week later and for some reason i think i was not bleeding or it was not as bad.

1 week with Nate and I am still bleeding with Joshua but it looks like it is letting up and I am 3 weeks post.

With Dennis and Dominick, I bled for about 3-4 weeks with each. With John, I didn't think I was ever going to stop. I think it was about 6 weeks, then I had a few days then started my damn period and it lasted another 2 weeks!

My first two I believe it was 2-3 weeks. Dylan was over a month.

I bled for I want to say exactly a 2 weeks. It wasnt bad. It was like a VERY heavy period.
