ok, so i am at my breaking point (i.e the i'm done waiting thread). and i have a quick question about what some people were saying about having lots of sex. i am just wondering if we should use protection or not. i was told a few months back that at the end you should use protection cuz the seman can cause labor, but then last week i was told not to do it without protection since i am dialated cuz my friend said i can get an infection. i still have the majority of my plug (every time they check me i loose a little) and my water hasnt sprung a leak or anything, so should i worry about infection?? let me know what you guys think. thanks!

I have never heard about not having un protected sex because it will cause an infection...??? If anything I was told to have tons of it to start labor but infection...not so sure about that??

The semen helps the cervix. I was never told to avoid sex in the end weeks. I was told to have sex :shrug

yeah i heard to have tons of it too! the only problem is we are hearing sooo many other things, now my hubby is scared to do it....i have to seriously like guilt him then persuade him cuz he is afraid of hurting me or the baby. i'm hoping that the advice i can get from you guys on here will convince him that its ok so we can go at it! lol. thanks though!

Sex is fine unless your Dr says otherwise UNLESS your water has broken. THEN you can get an infection. Otherwise you are fine ;) Unless your like me and on pelvic rest. I forget what sex is like :teehee T%hats what I am reading anyhow in my book here

Unless you're on pelvic rest or your water has already broken, unprotected sex is fine.
