Anyone else been to Ft. Gordon GA, in Augusta?
I have been there but for tech school. DH is looking at taking a job there, and wanted opinions of who liked it there and what you like/ dislike about the area.
My biggest worry is going and having no friends.:dramasign

see i loved it when I was there.
Tims reason for not wanting to go is that he doesn't want to wear blues
Holy Hannah!! a post about Ft. Gordon!!!:yahoo We live here also and love it! The houses are much cheaper, everyone is friendlier AND there are no ships!!!!:lol It is not a military town which is nice also.

Well, I'll be the different one and say I really don't like it here. We've been here two years and bought a house off post. The people have been rude, it's been impossible finding a job that pays above $6 an hour, after a few months you've done everything there is to do, all the trees make me feel so boxed in, the base is extremely small....I dunno, it just hasn't been my kind of place. The only real pluses have been that Atlanta is only about two hours away(so we've spent a lot of time out there) and that we bought a wonderful house in a great neighborhood.

Are you still AD Sarah? Are you getting out?
