into tricare finally! I didn't have any problem getting enrolled but this lady talk fast as heck and I honestly could not absorb much of the info she gave me. I mailed my enrollment form for the tricare dental and I was wondering if tricare include vision or if that's something else I have to do?

Tricare doesn't cover vision... well there are no military eye doctors. SOME docs will accept tricare but not many. In most cases your stuck paying for vision. Tricare does not pay for glasses or contacts.
The dental is called United Concordia ;)

If you can find an eye doctor that accepts tricare then you're covered but there arent many. You can get an eye exam at pearl vision for $30 to $45 though.

There is an eye doctor on base Shaky, where you can get an eye exam done and it doesn't cost anything. The only thing you have to pay for is glasses or contacts out in town.

Yup they need your addy for the medical records...It usually takes all of 5 minutes and then at least here in SD we get a blue card..offices like OB/GYN and Peds use it...the impront it on the page so they don't have to keep writing it....I'm glad you got enrolled. I do my eye exams at the place at the nex in SD and the exam for my glasses is covered but the exam for my contacts is 38...

If your OB is at Portsmouth than you have a blue card. You wouldn't know about it though...it's tucked into your medical record and they use it when needed.
