View Full Version : Morning after pill JudyB 11-17-2006, 05:17 AM Do you think this should always be readily available and more of a common use? And why Becca 11-17-2006, 05:37 AM No I don't think it should be readily available. The only instance in which I would find it acceptable to take the morning after pill would be in the case of rape. If a woman is raped she can then go to the hospital to report it, and get the pill there. I realize there are women that are afraid to report rape, but I honestly believe that it's one of those necessary evils that you HAVE TO DO to get rapists out of your house and/or off of the street. If they want the pill bad enough, they'll go get examined. Brandi 11-17-2006, 12:12 PM poll approved! iLuvKev 11-17-2006, 12:26 PM i said no. i think it's ok once in a blue moon. it is not meant to be a birthcontrol method. it's very unhealthy method and makes women very sick. and if you are f*cking up so often then maybe ur not responsible enough to be having sex. *Crystal* 11-17-2006, 12:37 PM i said no. i think it's ok once in a blue moon. it is not meant to be a birthcontrol method. it's very unhealthy method and makes women very sick. and if you are f*cking up so often then maybe ur not responsible enough to be having sex. I agree with you 100% Heather 11-17-2006, 12:37 PM No I don't think it should be readily available. I dont think it should be an over the counter drug, but I do think it should be available through a GP. MontanaSweetie 11-17-2006, 01:52 PM I voted yes, because I think it should be more available than it is now. I'd rather a teenage girl take that, instead of possibly getting pregnant. Obviously safe sex is what people should be practicing, but we all know that doesn't happen all the time. harrisonsdream 11-17-2006, 02:00 PM i think that it should not be available for common use.i think that if you are raped, incest, drunken one night stand, or a lack of judgement type thing then yes it should be available but if you are using it like a form of bc then absolutely not. i feel the same way about it as abortion Victoria 11-17-2006, 02:40 PM I don't believe so!!! I can just seeing people already using it to replace birth control.... Leigh 11-17-2006, 03:31 PM No, but I believe it shouldn't be available at all. JMM 11-17-2006, 08:25 PM Honestly, I think they should GIVE it away. So what if people use it as birth control. They're avoiding a pregnancy they do not want, for one reason or another. It's not "aborting" anything. It's not RU486. I don't think using it *as* birth control is all that brilliant, but smarter than having a baby one doesn't want and can't provide for emotionally and financially. MichelleB 11-17-2006, 09:08 PM I agree with Becca. I don't think it should be readily available. There are plenty of other types of birth control that should be responsibly used during sex. Amanda 11-18-2006, 11:41 AM I say no only because there will be girls using it as birth control. I think at times when you need it, it should be available when all other efforts have failed...but it is not birth control. USMC ISSUED 11-18-2006, 12:37 PM what if someone had an accident ( condom got stuck in them...) and they were trying to be safe Angelina 11-18-2006, 01:00 PM No..I'm a midwife and I think it's to easy to get as it is. There is no excuse for a unwanted pregnancy where you have to use that. I know accidents happen..but if you're responsible enough to put have sex..then you're responsible enough to have a baby...I deal with so many young kids who get pregnant. It just makes me sick. I think that it would be very hard to regulate if it was more readily available and from what I've heard there are complications that can come from taking it. Every person who takes it should be closely monitored by a doctor. SezzySue 11-22-2006, 01:38 PM only given in cases of rape, otherwise i am totally against it |
