Ok, since the month of November is almost over, we will go ahead and start with the month of December... This thread will be to recommend any books you would like to read in December and I will go ahead and set up a thread for voting on which book we all would like to read. I will do that at the end of November, that way in the first week of December we will find out what book we all have chosen.. Well what the majority of us have chosen. Lol...So go ahead and recommend. I will love seeing what all you have in mind...

Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt -- this is a book I've read about 6 or 7 times and I could seriously read it over and over. There are two books that come after it called Tis' and Teacher Man. The Cider House Rules is great as well. But I've read those.

I put The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks, The Aeneid by Virgil and Great Expections by Dickens on my Christmas list along with very long list of other books but the rest are all fantasy, history/fantasy romance or Irish history! I've never read the three I mentioned but am interested, if one was chosen I would take it off my list and buy it. lol

For anyone who likes fantasy, check out The Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan. Currently there are 12 books and 2 more to come until the series is finished. GREAT books!

Another that is just wonderful is The Bridges of Madison County. I read it awhile ago and sobbed for days. lol I wouldn't mind reading it again.

Have to agree with Debra...Angela's Ashes is a great one..I suggest thought that if this is chosen that we follow up the next month with 'Tis which is pretty much the ending to Angela's Ashes
Also, The Lovely Bones is a great book...the first 2 paragraphs pull you in and don't let go....I own this book but haven't read it in about 3 years so I would definitely be up to reading this again!!!

Sounds cool. I'll see if the library has a copy.

For future months...are we going to pick in advance so we can order books off the internet and such? Like picking January's book in mid-Dec. so everyone can order it and so on? The library and bookstore are crap here so I end up ordering everything and sometimes it takes 2 weeks to get here....
I'd love to participate if it is feasible.

I have mine! I've read it already but need to brush up on it!

Let me post a warning though! This book is very sensitive & talks about the murder of a child & her views from heaven as stated in the book jacket. There are some descriptions in there especially at the beginning that might be upsetting to some!

I can't wait to talk about this with you all!
