NEW YORK (AP) -- After a firestorm of criticism, News. Corp. said Monday that it has canceled the O.J. Simpson book and television special "If I Did It."

"I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project," said Rupert Murdoch, News Corp. chairman. "We are sorry for any pain that his has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson."

A dozen Fox affiliates had already said they would not air the two-part sweeps month special, planned for next week before the book's publication.

Thank god!!! I was very surprised that Fox would have even thought about airing it!

I had a feeling that it would be cut after the HUGE uproar.

guess I'm a sicko then, cause I was very interested in seeing it...although I wont by his book.

I think so, if I'm reading it right... NewsCorp owns Harper Collins, and the Fox network.... Maybe he can self-publish it, or find someone else to do it...

From what I read, both have been cancelled.

Thank goodness - I was beginning to wonder what the world was coming to! What kind of man would publish a book on how he would have killed his own wife?! (my husband excluded... ;))
