Okay, my DH has been deployed to Iraq for a year and we've been getting all the usual extra pay. We were told at a redeployment briefing that his FSH would stop the day before he arrived here at Ft.Hood. He arrived home on the 7th, so that would make the pay stop on the 6th. The LES's for this month are up now, and we only got $50 for FSH this month, instead of $250. Is this right?? It was my understanding that we would get the full $250, but we're not going to. Any help, ladies?? TIA!

it starts normally the 2nd month that they are gone so you would normally get it for a month after they get back cause it is back paid.
Does that make sense?
Sounds like the command put the paper work in early and went with it.
When dh was deployed of there they had to wait and do paperwork once they got back

I think the FSH is pro-rated. I looked at the LES's and my DH got a partial amount for the first month, then full amount for second month but they were both on the second month LES since they wait the 30 days to pay it. so I guess it makes sense that they would get a partial month when they get back in the middle of the month, too.

Yep, FSH is prorated. Imminent danger/Hostile fire pay is not prorated. FSH is paid after first 30 days away so you would see payment for two months when you first get it assuming he would beaway for full second month. Last month is prorated.
