Well, we just got orders to be in Fort Hood, TX in the next 2-4 weeks! I had looked at some stuff awhile back when we thought we might go there but lost all my links so if anyone has any useful info on rental links please pass them my way!

I've heard a lot about going to Copperas Cove?

Also, already checked into housing on their waits and for us it's a 6-8 months so we're looking at renting for right now!

OOOOOHHH me im in the area.. I live in Killeen though i just moved into a apartment though :-) Anyways just thought i say hi while on my 15 minute break.

well i dont live down at fort hood, but i know the area pretty well!
i spent every weekend for about 4 months down there with my fiance! i live in dallas, which is only about a 2 1/2 hour drive from ft hood. he is deployed to iraq right now.. but will be home for R&R in february!! when his deployment is done, i do plan on moving down to the fort!
but it really is nice.. copperas cove is nice, i would reccomend living in killeen though. just my opinion :)

My friend just moved to that area and I gave her a list of links with apartments, rental places, etc! I would suggest to look at the newspaper's website! I think that's where I found a few places! Good luck with your move!

Hi I am in the area. There are some nice areas in copperas cove. I would recommended living there or in Harker Heights (that's where I live). We actualy rent our house her (bc I made my hubby... we still owned a house in NC and were renting it out- I was too scared to have two morgages). ANyway Tri-City Property Management is a great company to go through!!! Our broker is Sandy is she is great. Everyone there is wonderful. We have never had a probelm with them- they come right out to handle things and are very friendly.

How are who will he be with 4th ID?

I've been living here for 3 years. We lived in Copperas Cove, nice area,I loved it. But the owner was selling the house & we didn't want to buy it, so we moved on post because hubby was deploying. I really recommend Copperas Cove, I don't like Killeen, not a safe area & they get a lot of break ins. The school system in Killeen is awful according to my friend, her daughters teacher always sent out important notes/letters with a lot of typos, how sad is that coming from a teacher.

i just moved here and married my hunny.

I live in Harker Heights. Killeen is pretty ghetto so I would try for CC or HH.
