Under what circumstances/situations will they typically induce you?

High blood pressure, low fluid, too much fluid, thats all I can think of for now

Medical issues such as Pre E etc, overdue (my Dr was 2 weeks overdue they induce. I was 41 weeks 4 days when I went into labor on my own)

Well I was induced with every baby!! #1 was because I started labor and never went anywhere!
#2 was because my water broke and I didn't go into labor...both 1 & 2 were after 40 weeks.
#3 was induced at 38 weeks because I had a minor placental abruption.
#4 was scheduled on my due date at 40 weeks because I was getting hypertensive.

This happened to me

Yeah I forgot that. I went into labor and it stalled. So they started pitocin on me since I was 4cm dilated, 1 week and 4 days overdue etc. They were NOT sending me home

I was scheduled to be induced if I made it to 41 weeks...I made it 40 weeks and 2 days...but I was given pitocin when my labor stalled...Val's heart rate dropped too much and they took me off of it...

I was induced with Ethan because I kept having contractions that never got into a pattern, same reason I got induced with Emilee.
I was induced with Elizabeth because my mom and stepdad had come to visit us and I was 3 days over my due date so my doctor agreed to induce me so my mom could be with me.

The "reason" I was induced was small gestational age... that's what my OB told Tricare... I was actually induced so that DH could be here for his daughter's birth. We were full term, and DD was 6 lbs 7oz.... The sono did actually measure her at about 4 1/2 lbs. 3 days before she was born, but we all know how those things are NEVER right!

I was induced with both kids due to fetal distress (aka heartrate dropping dangerously low). I had low-amniotic fluid which was causing the problems with DS & he was 1 week post-date. DD was possibly compressing her cord whcih was causing the decells.

I'm getting induced my 39th week if I don't have the baby by then so I can have DH here to help out before he leaves on deployment, what they are telling tricare I don't know.

I got induced because I was measuring at 46 weeks when it should have been 40 and it was planned early on when we knew he was huge.

I was induced with both of mine.With dd they sai it was because they were afraid she was getting to big to deliver naturally(8lbs9oz) And with ds I had a scheduled induction aweek before he was due because I was in so much pain(he sat on my siatica nerve the whole pregnancy and I could hardly walk).ANd he was 9lbs8oz.

My water broke but my contractions weren't coming on their own strong enough, and regular, so they put me on pitocin, which was a nightmare.
I started to show signs of infection early the next morning (19 hours later), so they had to do an emergency C-section.

I was induced b/c I kept having all the symptoms of labor, but it never actually went anywhere. I ended up in the hospital 3 times b/c (after following all the rules), my contractions were at the point where they were less than 2-3 min apart and excrutiating pain. My OB ended up taking pity on me and induced me before my due date (only by about a week though). She didn't think I would actually make it as long as I did.

#3 was induced so dh could be here. We had a four day window and thanfully my OB went along with it.
