View Full Version : housing for Bremerton, WA duckyprincess 12-06-2006, 03:44 PM how is it??? spacious? anybody have pics??? tia! :D Jennygirl 12-06-2006, 03:53 PM I live on the sub base in bangor...And people who have just one kid or no kids live in almost the same style...We have a downstairs cause we have two big dogs...We have a nice size yard, two bedrooms, a huge living room, a kitchen, bath, lots of closets and washer and dryer hook ups...Our housing has hit and miss yards, we actually have a large yard compared to some. I think there are some ladies like sarah and april that live in JP, they may be able to help you out with that area... duckyprincess 12-06-2006, 03:57 PM thnx Jenny... sounds pretty good... do u have any pics by any chance? Kaymara 12-06-2006, 03:59 PM http://forum.militarysos.com/showthread.php?t=14303 :) *Dawn* 12-06-2006, 04:01 PM When I lived up there I was in JP and I loved it! We had a 2 bedroom with a huge yard...I loved it..I didn't have Aaron then but if I did it would have been great the yard was fenced in and very large. We were in the older style but they we re-modeled and were very well kept. Here are some pictures of the outside of the one I had. Back Yard http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/navywifecvn70/back.jpg Front Yard http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/navywifecvn70/front2.jpg Front yard looking into our court http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v109/navywifecvn70/front.jpg Sarah 12-06-2006, 04:16 PM I'm in Jackson Park :). The housing I live in is the newer housing here, but you can't have any dogs or cats in this housing. We also have a garage as well. There are other houses in JP, but they are older, but they have been renovated on the inside. Those places allow dogs and cats. Here's one of the pics of my house. It's a 3 bdrm, and it's rather spacious. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v70/navywife96/MyHouse.jpg I will find some pictures of the inside that I can post. Sarah 12-06-2006, 04:18 PM I found some pictures of my living room. This is only one angle.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v70/navywife96/LivingRoom.jpg Another angle.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v70/navywife96/LivingRoom2.jpg Sarah 12-06-2006, 04:20 PM I will take some pictures of the kitchen and the upstairs later on. duckyprincess 12-06-2006, 04:24 PM awesome.. .looking foward to meeting you all! :D April 12-06-2006, 04:58 PM my house the day we moved in. We are moving to a 4 bedroom in 3 weeks http://forum.militarysos.com/showthread.php?t=9704&highlight=jackson+park+housing instant_oatmeal 12-06-2006, 05:10 PM I dont have any pics but mine is what Jenny described except we live upstairs because we have cats. :) All of the houses that I've seen here are really nice. There is a website that has pictures and floorplans of the houses for most bases but I dont have it here at work, I saved it as a favorite at home...maybe someone else will have it. duckyprincess 12-06-2006, 10:14 PM thnx ladies :D Angie 12-06-2006, 10:27 PM I know I have some I will find and post them in a few Angie 12-06-2006, 10:35 PM Ok I found the pictures I have them in my Yahoo Photos because I took so many to show to my husband because he was deployed at the time I moved to Washington. I live in Jackson park in a 3 bedroom same as Sarah. They have the same kind of 3 bedrooms on Bangor. The 2 Bedrooms look almost like the 3 but they only have 1 bathroom up stairs and the 2nd room is a good size bigger then my kids rooms. Here is the link Please let me know if it doesn't work http://new.photos.yahoo.com/repking4/album/576460762330263340 duckyprincess 12-07-2006, 01:38 PM thanks ANgie.. the pics were great... btw, does the first floor have tile or carpet as well as the second floor? I didn't quite see the living room floor in the pics... thanks again :D Sarah 12-07-2006, 01:42 PM Angie's house is the exact same layout as mine, since she only lives a few houses down :giggle. The downstairs and upstairs have carpeting. The only rooms that don't are the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room. It's not tile, but a linoleum. duckyprincess 12-07-2006, 01:46 PM oh i see.. i guess that will be good since dd will be walking by then.... that is the same kind of flooring we have now in tx.... i guess we'll start using our vacuum again after 5 yrs.. LOL!!! KDMatthews 12-07-2006, 02:22 PM I live in Subase Bangor as well...we only have one child, but we got a 3 BR and it has 2.5 baths. It is connected to three other places on the sides only...so we have an upstairs and downstairs, and a little fenced backyard. We can have pets. I like it a lot. I'll try to post pics after work. duckyprincess 12-07-2006, 05:44 PM ok thanks... :D Kindra 12-09-2006, 03:21 PM They just built beutiful houses on Bangor.. I would try for one of those. They are HUGE!! Jennygirl 12-12-2006, 01:50 PM The new housing is for people with atleast two children or officers I believe...If that was the case then we would be living there! Sarah 12-12-2006, 03:05 PM The new housing is for people with atleast two children or officers I believe...If that was the case then we would be living there! That's what I was told as well. Jennygirl 12-12-2006, 04:19 PM Heck hook me up LOL That housing is incredible! USNFFG52 12-13-2006, 07:09 PM We live in JP as well. We live in the "older" housing but is pretty nice but then again it is what you make of it. My wife wants to make curtains for the windows before she leaves on deployment so it will make it look like a home. We have a 2 BR with a little backyard that backs up to a slope about 2 feet off our patio, but we have a decent side area with, I think it is supposed to be grass. We have a dog, well more like a moose (siberian husky) so if you see us walking, or him walking us say hi. We are both from IL so we are LOVING this weather being in the 40's compared to single digits, lol. |
