Do the men get right before they are deployed?

my db got 20 days of leave..then he was sent back to okinawa for a month before he was deployed to iraq

i'm not sure if it's the same for everybody tho..??

I think it all depends on how much leave the command is granting, how much leave he has on the books, etc.

I *think* it's different for everyone, depending on how long their going to be gone, their command, etc. But, I could be wrong.

My DH usually takes around 10 days or so but not sure if that's the most he could take or if he just chose to take that much. :dunno

Tim hasnt used any of his leave time at all. He didnt even get leave when he graduated basic.

I'm pretty sure it depends on the command. Just like it depends on the command when it comes to paternity leave...

Its a year long deployment.

It depends on where he's going and how much time he has saved up. My husband got to take almost 5 weeks because he was going to Korea and he was able to do home town recruiting also, which lasted 2 weeks... I guess that was good for the people who got to see him there (didn't do me much good, lol.) I hope he's able to get to spend some quality time with you before deployment! Where's he off to?

DB had 20 days then went back to Hawaii then left like 2 weeks later :(

My husband was on a year tour to korea and thena year to kuwait. He had an entire 27 extra days of leave saved up ebfore he went to korea, so he took 3 weeks before korea, 3 weeks in the middle of korea, 3 weeks between korea and kuwait, and 2 weeks in the middle of kuwait. But it all depends on the command.
