How did you celebrate your baby's 1st birthday ??? I want to throw a little party for Ryan and invite the ladies from the playgroup and some other friends I have and their kids, maybe even bring a clown, etc... I ahve so many ideas :P . My MIL thinks it's silly cause Ryan won't even know it's his B-day :mumble but I think it's a huge milestone for him to turn one year old to not have a celebration!!! :lovestruck So I was wondering how did you guys celebrated your little one's first b-day??? :)

Ella's 1st birthday was Sept 30th but since daddy wasn't back yet we had it Oct7th. I got a big 3 tier cake from publix and it came with her own smoosh cake. We had some friends over adn BBQd. I lept her party short b/c her attention span is short. I read that. So we did the cake and presents and that was it. She played with her friends and the adults BBQd. I'm affraid of clowns so no clowns for us plus I'm saving a big big party for when she will remember it.

For Leilani we had a party at the beach with family and friends and for AJ we just moved here to the Ft.Campbell area so we just had my godparents over and thats when we got our Boxer puppy!!!!

I just had family come over. None of my friends showed up. They "forgot"...yeah whatever. We didnt do anything special, I mean why he didnt even know what was going on anyway.

We had a pizza party here at the house with some friends of ours and their kids. He had a blast!

His 2nd we beefed it up and did chuck E cheese :giggle

We had a party at my house with lots of family and a few of her 'friends'.

Her first bday will be in April. Even if we're not living in WI, by my family, we are going to have a family party there. So basically just my large family, maybe some of his if they can fly out, and food! (and cake)

I think a clown is a great idea if that's what you want! He might not remember it, but I'm sure the clown will make him laugh :thumbsup

Ethan was sick as a dog on his first birthday, so I got a cake and some ice cream and had my ex MIL, my mom and sister, my dad, stepmom and little sister over to the apartment for a lil bit.

Elizabeth- We had it at the bowling alley at NAS Corpus because a lot of the people we invited also had older kids and we had bumper bowling for them and we had cake and ice cream.

Emilee- We rented a conference room where dh works and had a bunch of his family and my family come and we ordered pizzas and had a few other munchies and my SIL had games and prizes she did for all the kids.
