Hunter had his 6 week checkup today and he's healthy as a horse! He's 22 1/2 inches long and 11 lbs :wow He's looking and growing good!

We talked about the reflux and the doc said he had absolutely no problem with giving him some medication to reduce the stomach acid in his tummy but since the other things we're doing right now (A.R formula, elevated bed, burping after every ounce, being at an incline for 25 minutes post feedings, mylicon drops after every other feeding, etc) seem to be working, he said we can give it another week or so and if things get worse again then we can go back for medicine. For right now, we're just going to keep doing what we're doing and hope that he'll continually improve. Aside from the reflux issues, everything is great. (L)

Jaxon had his school physical today and we actually got sent home with some sheets for us to fill out as well as his teachers at school. Some of my concerns with Jaxon could be ADHD related and since we have a very strong family history of it (myself included) we are going to have him evaluated. We've been having some ongoing issues with him that his doctor thinks could be ADHD. I'm not wild about medicating him for it but it's going to depend on how he does at school and what not.

Jaxon got his flu shot which he was NOT happy about at all :nutts :giggle

Nope, not yet. We're waiting on his teacher to do her home visit now. We just had to get his physical out of the way first. His doctor has had to cancel two different appointments due to training and something else :nutts Jaxon is VERY VERY anxious to finally start.

When he went in for his screening and evaluation, we were only there for about 2 or 3 hours and just in that short amount of time,t hey had already brought up some concern. So, thats why I'm bringing them the sheets to fill out after they monitor him for a while.

glad things went well....my husband has ADD/ADHD and is on meds and does wonderfully! He is currently a pre-med student with a 4.0 GPA. We do watch our kids closely for signs though. So far we are lucky and have seen nothing. I do ask Andrews Kindergarten teacher to tell me if she sees him exhibiting any signs.

Oh, I also found out Hunter has thrush. Neither of my other kids had it so I didn't know why his tongue was white :giggle The doc said it isn't bad but prescribed us some meds to wipe on his tongue every four hours.
