I've only ever eaten it two ways... cut up in rounds and fried to eat for breakfast, or chopped up lengthwise for jambalaya. LOVE it in jambalaya. MMM MMMM!

Hmmm....I didn't find any jambalya mixes I liked, but I found this and it sounds so yummy!

1 can cream of potato soup or cream of celery or cream of mushroom
1 sm. bell pepper
1 sm. onion
2 c. Cheddar cheese
4 c. diced potatoes or rice

Brown diced onions, pepper and sausage in pan. Put in a 2 quart casserole. Cover with potatoes and cream soup of your choice. Top with 1 cup of Cheddar cheese. Bake for 30-45 minutes. Place remaining cup of cheese over casserole and serve hot. 6 servings

An EXCELLENT pre-packaged jambalaya is the Tony Cacheres Jambalaya with Cheese. Its VERY VERY good. SOOOO easy to make too. Just fry up the sausage until browned, throw in the rice mix and a couple cups of water, simmer for about 20-25 minutes and you're done! Very tastey and BY FAR the best one I've tasted.

This is an EXCELLENT recipe. I make it once a month or so, and serve it over jasmine rice. It's one of our favorites. I use less brown sugar though, about half.

I made the one last night w/ rice instead of potatoes & didn't put the veg's in it. It was good, but if you make it, I dont' think it needs 2 cups of cheese. I would use the 1 cup & bake like it says, but then I would put only a half or less of the other cup of cheese on top. It was definetely good, but a little too cheesy.

Tasted like cheesy potatoes w/ sausage.

That sounds delicious! I usually cook it in the crockpot.

I cut up a kielbasa, add baby carrots, cut up some white potatoes, cut up one onion, one stalk of celery sliced, add one can of chicken broth and cook on low all day long. I usually add half a head of cabbage cut into thirds about half way through. (I throw in a bunch of different spices too) I serve with rye bread.:)

Colorful Keilbasa

Preparation Time: 45 Minutes
Number of Servings: 4 to 6 Servings

INGREDIENTS

1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup, Undiluted ( Make sure its not the healthy kind, it makes the dish taste very different)
2 Cups of water
1 TBS butter or margarine
1lb. Smoked Keilbasa, cut into 1/4 inch slices
¾ Cup uncooked long grain rice
1 Can of green beans, drained or 10oz package of frozen peas
1 Can (4 ½ oz) mushrooms, drained
1 ½ Cups shredded cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

In a skillet, combine soup, water and butter; bring to a boil. Add kielbasa and rice. Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 20 minutes or until rice is almost tender. Stir in peas and mushrooms. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender and green beans (peas) are heated through. Take off heat. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and let stand until melted.

I have a friend who makes it,but I'm not sure what she calls it.

she either grills it,or pan fry it. cut up. you cook white rice. in a bowl you mix White Rice black beans, chopped Tomatoes, chopped green onions and the Kielbasa. you topped it with a dolop of sour cream.

It is sooooo good. It's kinda like Poor mans food also. Very cheap to make.
