Yep, I swear it just doesn't quit with him.....
We went over to friend's house on Saturday night and came home, went to bed everything was fine. Then as we *Nate and I* were getting ready to go to bed Nate heard Eian crying, he goes into his room and there's vomit all over. So Saturday we spent ALL night from 11 till 7:30am awake with a little boy who was puking every 15 minutes. It was terrible. So by 7:30 I took his temp and under the arm it was 101.5, and rectally it was 104 so I gave him tylenol and he threw that up right away, we couldn't get his fever to go down cause the meds weren't staying in him. So off to the ER, because his fever needed to be taken care of. So we spent from 8am till about 1:30 in the ER, they gave him suppository of tylenol and an antivomit med...little did they tell us that those together will make him drowsy..past the past of drowsy..he was drugged up...he wouldn't open his eyes or anything, we tried getting him to drink a little or evern open his eyes a little and he wouldn't so the nurse came in and we were finally able to wake him up, and then the doc informed us that the med will cause him to have an anixety attack *thanks for tellin gus this sooner*...Eian started rolling around in a frantic spin log roll all over the bed, and screaming like you wouldn't believe, we would pick him up and he would stare blankly at us and get all stiff and arch backwards and then go into his spin roll again, this went on for about 2o minutes...it was the most terrifiying thing I've ever had to go through or see with him. He didn't reconize Nate or I and didn't know where he was. It was hearbreaking and scary!! I never want to see him go through something like that again.
So Eian was discharged and now he's able to hold down about 3oz of pedialyte at a time, he gets it about 4 times aday, we tried solids and that's still a nogo, cause up it comes. He's lost weight and is very pale, but he's still able to smile and have a little fun. Although the mojority of the day is spent laying on my lap and me rubbing his back.
I've been keeping up with the Thermaflu for the flu and water so hopefully I won't get the pukey flu...I've just got the bodyaches right now.
Anyways...his ear surgery is still a go for Wednesday. Depending on if the fever stays away and he doesn't get a cough.
Okay well that's that news.....boy, I just would love to have my healthy little one back again....
