We've had sex after 4 weeks and it didn't hurt at all. But then again I didn't have stitches

I had stitches and I was terrified to even think about it! But I didn't have to worry about that for the next 5 1/2 mos cause he was on Deployment when our ds was born! I was also terrified of the 6 week checkup, cause it is a pap smear...but it didn't hurt at all! Everyhing will be fine! :)

I had stitches but that didn't make the sex hurt. I had to get use to sex all over again after giving birth.

I never had problems. I tore with my first born and a c-section with the second and sex never hurt.

sex hurt the first couple times after I had Ethan, I had a small episiotomy and after Elizabeth it hurt for a long time, but I was sliced from front to back down there and after I had Emilee it felt normal because I didn't have to be cut and I didn't tear.

Just for the record, you don't HAVE to have sex again after your 6 week check-up....if you're not ready physically or mentally, then he'll just have to wait.
I waited 6 months :lol

For me it hurt like an SOB honestly. I tore pretty badly and then the stitches on one side broke and they just took the broken pieces out so I think it took longer to heal. It hurt to have sex for most of a year. I hope I never tear like that again.

I doubt that you'll have anything that bad though!

I only had a very small tear, so my stiches were minimal. But I was scared out of my mind the first time we had sex :lol It didn't hurt at all, but it was a little uncomfy. Probably more so because I was tense.

I know that I've never had a baby and have no idea what it will be like, but speaking from OTHER experiences...if you're scared of having sex because of pain, it will probably hurt, or be uncomfortable. If you're tense, your muscles don't want him in there, so it will not feel good. Just try to relax as best as possible....don't underestimate the psychological fears and how they effect you physically!

It hurt like hell for me. Lots of KY and A LOT of time was needed. took forever for me to be comfotable enough to get there.

We had sex at around 4 weeks and I had a couple stitches. It was a lil painful but he took it slow and we used lube. If you're breastfeeding def. make sure you have lube on hand 1st or 50th time, from personal experience and from others saying it....breastfeeding makes you dry.

I was ready after 3 weeks (I had a C-section so pain "down there" and my incision healed very quickly and easily), but DH was on deployment so I had to wait 6 months.

We had sex AFTER the 6 week check-up. Even though I had 2 VERY minor stitches, I was still afraid that sex would hurt. Just take it slow and easy...kinda like you're having sex for the very first time EVER....HEHEHE!!!!! :D
